As the story goes, Prince William and Miss Middleton are finally betrothed. Yes, it has been a lengthy courtship but why was anyone in such a rush? We have seen divorce headlines of celebrities splashed over covers for decades and are constantly exposed to what-not-to-do examples. Love and romance are great--and necessary--but doesn't this marriage more than most need maturity? As I compared their interview for the BBC to photographs and impressions from even two or three years ago, it struck me how poised they both appear. They were playful with each other and supportive of each others' answers. Kate was open about her first impressions of the prince and the pain of their first split. Wills was the defender when Kate stumbled over an answer regarding Diana, playing his manly-card which was only enhanced by his copious glances to his fiancee's bosom. As the photograph above seems to show, they are happy and no longer naive young-kids-in-love but a proper power couple.
