The Celtics won by 39 points. A blow-out, if you will. And I am more than happy with the results. KG was so loyal to Minnesota for so long and I feel that he finally has what he deserves. And yet what I loved more about this win was the teamwork. KG, Allen, Pierce, Rondo-- everyone got a piece. When Allen went out for 10 minutes with a poked eye, KG stepped it up and started knocking 'em back. Then Rondo got into the mix and started stealing everything in sight. In no time, you knew it was all over.
I'll admit that I was rooting for them on Sunday in LA, but winning at home is so much more poetic. I remember hearing stories about the Celtic dynasty, but never experienced it. My generation is much more acquainted with dynasties of the Bull and Laker-persuasion. Obviously I would have enjoyed KG to have been able to win it all with the T-Wolves, but as we're Minnesotans and hate spending money, it was better this way.
